These individuals are selected to recognize their leadership and achievements in human rights and advocacy.
Honoured Position recipients are champions who have made meaningful contributions to the fight against:
– Discrimination and inequality
– Violence, torture, and abuse
– The criminalization of 2SLGBTQI+ people, identities, and activities on a national level
What Does It Mean to Be an Honoured Position?
Honoured Position holders will lead the Pride Parade and act as ambassadors representing their communities throughout the year, with a special focus on Pride Month initiatives.
Have the opportunity to represent their communities possible leading up to the Pride Festival and till December of 2026.
We’re looking for individuals whose work and values reflect Authenticity, Respect, Integrity, Freedom, Community, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
